Abstract

The purpose of this review article, based on professional literature, is to identify some concepts related to the hospital from Health Economics, such as that of hospital, the function of production of health services, the hospital processes and products, and finally, to determine the different manners to measure them, especially through Case Mix. The aforementioned was proposed in order to achieve the incorporation of clearer concepts about the dynamic of hospital economics in the area of health.
