Abstract

MOLINARI, Viviana. Juventudes argentinas, una forma de mirar al mundo: entre la voluntad de los '70 y la reflexividad estética de los '90. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2006, vol.4, n.1, pp.61-82. ISSN 1692-715X.

An analysis of the everyday practices of a collective group that we will name as «youth» and a comparison of its imaginaries and of the way how youth was lived in the seventies and in the nineties, would allow us to suspect how extremely strong have been the transformations that cross our country through the past two decades. The reading of the book La Voluntad (The Will) confronted me systematically with these differences and moved me to reflect on this theme. Why should we name The Will to an exhaustive chronicle about the sixties and seventies argentine revolutionary militancy? Maybe because the will was the energy which put in movement the militant action of those young people who had a transcendence sense. In the other side, how could we denominate the narration of the nineties youth? Maybe, Super Ego? Referring in that way to the central role of the person in the current society because of the processes of individualism and aesthetization that happen since that decade. Based on the E. Kant and W. Hegel concepts of will, morality and liberty I will establish the relationships within the militant practices of those who had actively participated in the social and political life during the seventies. At the same time, I will compare those practices with the actual ones.

Keywords : Juventud; Voluntad; Progreso; Cuerpo y Estética.
