Abstract

GONZALEZ -LAURINO, Carolina. Uses and consequences of ideas of risk and social vulnerability in socio-psychological opinion. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2012, vol.10, n.2, pp.927-941. ISSN 1692-715X.

Abstract: This investigation proposes a trajectory in the construction of the meaning of commonly-used terms in the area of childhood and adolescent studies. Expert opinion in the field of adolescent offending shifts from the image of an autonomous individual (free of structural conditioning and whose decisions are entirely responsible). An alternative analysis conceptualises offending as a mark of the social vulnerability of adolescents lacking social protection.

Keywords : adolescent offending; social risk; social vulnerability.
