Abstract

IMHOFF, Débora  and  BRUSSINO, Silvina. Children's notions of social inequality: ideological dimensions and political socialization processes. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2015, vol.13, n.2, pp.687-700. ISSN 1692-715X.  https://doi.org/10.11600/1692715x.1329071114.

In this study the authors describe notions related to social inequality among 10 and 11-year-old children in Cordoba, emphasizing the identification of values, ideological constructions and attributional processes. Considering that social notions are produced in the framework of political socialization processes, the study measures the impact of an experience of alternative political socialization on these social notions. The authors carried out a quasi-experimental study, with pre and post-tests and a control group. Semi-structured interviews were also used to investigate the dependent variable at the beginning and end of the school year. Based on the results, strengths and weaknesses of this experience are analyzed.

Keywords : causal attribution; social inequality; children; political socialization.
