Abstract

This study aimed to identify the effects of the «Programando-Ando» (Programming-ing) Enrichment Program on the academic self-esteem, creativity and intelligence of gifted students in an elementary school. A pretest-post test design was used to assess 13 students who met with the gifted profile, and based on their characteristics the intervention for promoting the digital and verbal skills was designed and applied. The results highlighted positive effects on the children’s cognitive skills and creative thinking. In terms of academic self-esteem, a non-significant decrease was found. In conclusion, this intervention program based on enrichment and problem solving through information and communication technology was able to enhance gifted abilities in students.
