Abstract

This research article reviews several theoretical trends followed by social workers in their professional practice. The following contributions were found: a) on epistemological trends, b) on theoretical trends, and c) on methodological trends set in social work practice. Qualitative and descriptive data were gathered from 14 Social Work programs officially approved, throughout the Caribbean and Central-Eastern regions in Colombia.
