This article analyzes social security from a gender perspective in Latin America, specifically in Chile, Brazil and Colombia. In the first part, it presents the recognition made by the constitutions and the law of Chile, Brazil and Colombia to women through the right to equality and non-discrimination, together with the special protection provided to them. In the second part, an approach is made to the welfare State and social security. Finally, the right to social security will be compared with statistical data in the recognition of women's pensions in Chile, Brazil and Colombia.
