Abstract

MONTEALEGRE, Rosalía. The Solution of Cognitive Problems: A Cognitive and Socio-Cultural Reflection. Av. Psicol. Latinoam. [online]. 2007, vol.25, n.2, pp.20-39. ISSN 1794-4724.

This work was done based on the Historial-Cultural Psychology perspective. It emphasizes the Problem Solving as a High Psychological Function linked with other psychological functions such us: language, thinking, reasoning etc.. It presents a sociocultural reflection on Cognitive Problem Solving when approaching: 1. The productive thinking (creative): the research methods and the instruments (tools, artefacts) of mediation; 2. The cognitive science: the information process system, the distributed cognition and the mental actions formation; 3. The sociocognitive conflict: the social interactions, the structuring conflict, the sociocognitive regulation and the zone of proximal development. It concludes with the need of forming the problem solving by: developing the productive thinking, the cognitive strategies, and the analysis of concepts and social facts.
