Abstract

TORRES ESCOBAR, Germán Andrés. Beyond the evaluation of colombian psychologist's competences: the need of a basic and common national formation model. Psychol. av. discip. [online]. 2011, vol.5, n.2, pp.121-133. ISSN 1900-2386.

The present research is related to the teaching of psychology in Colombia. Its objective are: to characterize psychologist's competences that define the main international and national models of competences, to analyze them and finally, to propose a new model for the formation of the psychologist in Colombia. The method used was the review and analysis of documents of each model taking into account: the definition of the concept of competence, the classification of competences, the educational strategies for the development and evaluation of such competences; and the curricular areas associated with such competences. As a conclusion, it's was established that the majority of the models define competences since a professional approach focused on the psychological service delivered to users, but this definition is not related to the life project of psychologists, so that's why it` s proposed a new model of competences to response to that need.
