Abstract

AGUDELO-ORREGO, Beatriz Eugenia. Human Talent Training and the Organizational Strategy in Companies of Colombia. Entramado [online]. 2019, vol.15, n.1, pp.116-137. ISSN 1900-3803.  https://doi.org/10.18041/1900-3803/entramado.1.5383.

This research aimed to determine how the processes of formation of human talent in 25 companies located in the Valle del Cauca are made, and its relationship with the strategic guidelines of the organization. Quantitative research methodology was used, through the application of an instrument of 97 descriptors, divided into two aspects: the creation and alignment of culture with the business strategy; and processes of human talent management. The descriptive analysis allowed to establish that the companies participating in the investigation are located mainly in the cities of Cali and Yumbo; they are mostly large companies, which have defined their strategic plan and whose training policy seeks to empower the employee in the acquisition of responsibilities. The inferential analysis showed that companies that implement leadership programs base the training of their employees on strengthening managerial skills. Likewise, it was established that companies that have a strategic training plan have a strategic plan of human management as their path; and that companies with a greater number of employees have a system that helps manage and control the quality of talent training.
