Abstract

MONTANA-MESA, Pedro Antonio. Bioethics education in the comprehensive training of future officers of the Colombian Army. Rev. Cient. Gen. José María Córdova [online]. 2019, vol.17, n.25, pp.24-46.  Epub Nov 05, 2019. ISSN 1900-6586.  https://doi.org/10.21830/19006586.340.

The general objective of this article is to evidence the contribution of five military training proposals of military academies in America -from the position of bioethicist authors and researchers in education and bioethics- to the basic and professional training of individuals. This text consists of three steps. First, a brief review of the study plans established for the training of officers is completed and a problematizing description of the bioethical reality is made. In the second stage, education in bioethics and its contribution to military training are analyzed based on the human dimension, integrality, and military vocation. Lastly, the results and conclusions of the review process are established.
