Abstract

DOMBOIS, Rainer. International Work Regulation Based on the Selfcompromise of the Transnational Companies?. CS [online]. 2011, n.7, pp.255-276. ISSN 2011-0324.  https://doi.org/10.18046/recs.i7.1044.

Currently, the discourses about the social responsibilities of the companies have reached a predominant place in the regulation of fundamental labour rights defined by the ILO. This article intends to reflect on this matter, questioning the real possibilities of the globalization of social standards from the compromises of transnational companies. Finally, the author raises the need to preserve and reinforce the mechanisms of interstate regulation that support its compliance in obligatory legality.

Keywords : Transnational companies; Social responsibility; Decent job; legal regulations.
