Abstract

GIL MATEUS, EDWIN OSWALDO. BELIEFS AND TRUST ELECTIONS IN STUDENT OF LASALLISTA PROJECT "UTOPIA": AN EMPIRICAL APPROACH. Finanz. polit. econ. [online]. 2013, vol.5, n.2, pp.161-179. ISSN 2248-6046.

Attitudes and behavior of trust and reciprocity determine the possibility of building social capital. Thus, it is necessary to understand the perceptions and behaviors in relation to the trust, of the agents involved in such a construction process, particularly for those who can take the lead. To do this, using the tools and techniques arranged by field of experimental economics, we conducted a field exercise in the Lasallian project called "Utopia", where results indicate that the elections are marked by the belief that the election will take the counterpart, showing the effect of reciprocity present in the decision-making of strategic interaction.

Keywords : trust; non-cooperative games; social capital.
