Abstract
PERALTA SANCHEZ, Juan David. Popular Education and Community Justice. Reflections from the Perspective of Social Work. Trab. soc. [online]. 2018, vol.20, n.2, pp.119-138. ISSN 2256-5493. https://doi.org/10.15446/ts.v20n2.74308.
This theoretical reflection article starts out with a comparison between social pedagogy and popular education, from the perspective of Social Work. It then goes on to situate that reflection in scenarios where community justice is applied, which entails a dialogue of knowledges that contributes to the acknowledgement of difference and to the collective construction of agreements, both of which are fundamental for conciliation in equity. As a methodology based on the recognition of differences, cultural negotiation comes in handy when promoting alternatives and building new possibilities of professional action.
Keywords : community justice; cultural negotiation; dialogue of knowledges; popular education; social pedagogy; Social Work.
