Abstract

At the time of the capitalism consolidation, the family was analyzed thought as the link responsible for guaranteeing the link between the individual and society, avoiding situations of "anomie". This article -based on interviews conceded to a well-known Chilean newspaper- shows that this pandemic situation catalyzes an international economic crisis and accelerates transformations in the world of work, it seems that the family is being asked to take charge of everything. Mass media and politics highlight this health familyism, that should recognize but the family is not always a context of recollection and placidity, and that it is necessary to extend a hand to those members who suffer situations of abuse, loneliness and emotional overflow.
