Abstract
PIERBATTISTI, Damián. The Confrontation between Two Societal and Economic Models in Argentina 2003-2017. Ens. Econ. [online]. 2018, vol.28, n.53, pp.121-140. ISSN 0121-117X. https://doi.org/10.15446/ede.v28n53.75019.
After the deep economic, social and political crisis that Argentina went through in December 2001, a series of governments followed, which, in line with the period that started in South America at the beginning of this century, crystallized the reemergence of national-popular thinking. The period that covers the political cycle between 2003 and 2015 was marked by the deployment of a political and economic rationality clearly opposed to neoliberalism. However, in October 2015, for the first time in Argentine history, a right-wing coalition accessed the Executive Branch through democratic elections and free from all proscription. This article analyzes the main measures adopted since 2003 to date, which make up the confrontation between two political and economic rationalities that guide the translation of two societal models, which find in the exercise of the government of the State the center of gravity of such a confrontation.
