SAMUDIO-DOMINGUEZ, Gloria Celeste; ORTIZ-CUQUEJO, Lidia María; GOMEZ, Gloria  and  HEINICHEN, Lizette. Intraventricular tigecycline as a treatment for multidrug-resistant Chryseobacterium indologenes ventriculitis. About a pediatric case. Infect. [online]. 2022, vol.26, n.1, pp.83-86.  Epub Nov 13, 2021. ISSN 0123-9392.  https://doi.org/10.22354/in.v26i1.999.

Ventriculitis due to Chryseobacterium indologenes can be a major therapeutic challenge, especially when the germ acquires intra-treatment resistance to common antimicrobials. Intraventricular tigecycline could be an excellent option in these cases.

We present a schoolgirl`s case who received successfully intraventricular treatment with tigecycline.

Keywords : ventriculitis; Chryseobaterium indologenes; multidrug resistance; intraventricular tigecycline.
