Abstract
MARTINEZ-VARGAS, Agustín María and SOTO-VALLEJO, Irma. Working Conditions According to Objective and Subjective Dimensions in Urban Lodgings. Soc. Econ. [online]. 2023, n.50, e10812652. Epub Dec 31, 2023. ISSN 1657-6357. https://doi.org/10.25100/sye.v0i50.12652.
The aim of this study is to analyze the objective and subjective working conditions of employees of urban lodging facilities in Villavicencio. Methodologically, a quantitative approach with non-experimental, descriptive and correlational design was followed. The information was obtained from 142 employees of hotels registered in the National Tourism Registry in Villavicencio, by using of the CVT-GOHISALO instrument. The analysis contemplates the objective and subjective labor multidimensionality and the weighting of objective variables. The results show an average Objective Job Quality Index of 57.49 points, without reaching an acceptable level. Salary is the variable with the highest dissatisfaction, followed by management of free time and personal development. It is concluded that the hotel companies of Villavicencio have possibly concentrated on strategies for productivity, competitiveness and economic growth, neglecting the CVL and the demotivation of the worker by neglecting his psychological, human, family and social integrity.
