Abstract

MURILLO VARGAS, Guillermo. Processes of transformation, internationalisation and new technologies in the organisations of the Colombian financial sector. Cuad. Adm. [online]. 2009, vol.22, n.38, pp.267-289. ISSN 0120-3592.

In a world financial crisis, it is essential to understand the dynamics of the changes produced in recent years and in particular, in the case of Colombia, which is among the strongest of systems in Latin America, in institutional terms. In Colombia, the financial sector has been favoured by processes of organisational transformation, materialised in substantial modifications to its organisational structure and in technologies, which have allowed institutions to become more customer-oriented, and to use new forms of relationship with customers. This article characterises the evolution of the sector, pointing to the most important organisational transformations, the formation of economic groups, and the most important mergers which have taken place.

Keywords : transformación organizacional; fusiones empresariales; nuevas tecnologías; estructura organizativa; dinámicas del sector financiero.
