Abstract

The article presents the basic characteristics of Large Group Methods (LGM), a set of dialogue tools to deal with the complex realities of today's world. Starting off from a vision of social phenomena based on complexity, according to which they must be dealt with through systemic, participatory and creative approaches, it proposes the use of LGM. After introducing the reasons for their use, their common characteristics and different classifications, it presents three examples of LGM: The World Café, Future Search Conference, and Open Space Technology. The article concludes by emphasizing the need for social innovation to create spaces for dialogue that will contribute to greater democracy.
