The following article shows the research results concerning the design of a methodological proposal to plan classroom experiences to promote the development of computational thinking, which is tested through a case study that aims to assess its potential, successes, and mistakes, in such a way that what is necessary can be modified in order to provide an effective tool that serves as a guide to teachers interested in this topic. At the same time, it describes how the information gathering, analysis, and results were carried out, revealing what was related to the case study where the degree of acceptance and difficulty that the participants had in the experience was analyzed. To collect information and to be able to assess the opinion of the participants, questionnaires were applied together with semi-structured interviews. As a result, the methodology is easy to understand, and with stages that guide the decision-making necessary in the generation of educational experiences, it is shown that the participants felt satisfied with the activities worked, both in programming environments and in the literary creations, in this way it was possible to strengthen the skills addressed. It is concluded that the study considers the motivation that this type of experience provokes in teachers and students, together with the contribution of the methodology in terms of the integration of areas of knowledge, since it is not only useful for teachers of technological areas but also that enables interdisciplinary work.
