The present article presents part of the results of the doctoral research Dress as an artifact of design: Contributions for its study and reflection within the design thinking (2016), which seeks for a knowledge of the dress into the design thought, from the theoretical reflection of design and its borders with other areas of knowledge, from two moments that define its identity as an artifact: a) the ability to recreate the body of the wearer, for which some theories were revised around body and artifacts, especially the dress, in he 20th and 21st centuries (Baudrillard, 1974, 1980; Attfield, 2000; Onfray 2002; Dagognet 1989; Belting 2002, 2005, 2006; Eicher, 2013). And b) the dilution of boundaries experience between subject and object which occurs at the time of use, from the study of different authors and concepts that allude to this interrelation (Ortega y Gasset, 2010 [1957]; Merleau-Ponty, 1962; Bourdieu 1988; Broncano, 2005, 2009, 2012).
