GARZON VALLEJO, Iván. Democratic deliberation and religious reasons: objections and challenges. Co-herencia [online]. 2012, vol.9, n.16, pp.81-117. ISSN 1794-5887.

This article discusses the study of some of the problems with religion in contemporary democracies and, more specifically, political paradoxes raised by the participation of believers in the public debate. To develop the theme, the text is divided into two parts: firstly setting out the objections which arise in secular democracies, are presented to religious discourse. Secondly, identifying some theoretical topics that believers should take if they want to effectively reach the public discourse and be received as a contribution to democratic deliberation and the construction of a plural citizenship.
