The paper proposes a view of philosophy as politics through aesthetics. It turns to the Nietzschean concepts of invention and valuation, along with the Deleuzian philosophy, in an attempt to undermine the supremacy of the concept of people. Analyzing cinema we can confirm the assertion that the people are always absent. With movie maker Jean Marie Straub the cinematography immediately becomes politics when turning to new horizons where the people are mediated by philosophical speech acts.
