This research article, inscribed in a qualitative perspective, archaea-genealogical approach, analytical of governmentality formulated by Michel Foucault, determines how infantile behaviors were oriented and the preschool child was constituted through the teaching of knowledge mathematician (in the forms of arithmetic and pre-mathematics), during the '80s in the public preschool. Here the contents are described in addition to the attitudes, behaviors, values, and patterns assumed by mathematical knowledge in preschool and that the preschool child had to adopt, acquire, and appropriate, as well as those that he had to correct, to function, act, to be recognized, accepted and legitimized in the school and social scene during this period. Therefore, the investigative exercise carried out showed the fluctuating character not only of preschool child subjectivity but also of school knowledge, of its condition as a technology of power, and its incidence as a government device in determining the child in public preschool during the 1980s.
