GUTIERREZ-CHAPARRO, Juan José. URBAN PLANNING: CRITIQUE AND TRENDS FROM THE FIELD OF THE THEORY. The case of the State of Mexico. Bitácora Urbano Territorial [online]. 2014, vol.24, n.1, pp.19-26. ISSN 0124-7913.
The objective of this work is to show that the model of the Urban Planning in the state of Mexico has become obsolete when it comes to contrasting its foundations with the recent contributions of our field of knowledge, and with that basis, offer an alternative of theoretical-critical evaluation of the principles and methods of the Urban Planning which can be applied to similar realities like ours.
The Planning experience in the State of Mexico during at least the last two decades, shows the scarce possibilities of transit and adoption of the group of the surging proposals which detached from the recent analysis in Planning Urban matter. That is the reason why it is important to make a critical revision of its evolution process together with the shown evidences, the latter constitutes the principal argumentative foundation of this work.
This task requires revision and analysis of the foundation of our discipline with the idea of adapting them to the demands that are observed internationally not only from the discipline point of view but also in the public action as well, and with that in mind identify the emerging routes which we can transit.
