The article presents the results of the análisis of five projects developed by the Instituto de Credito Territorial (ICT) in Bogotá, which are relevant experience in the field of design and urban development in the city: Los Alcazares (1949), The Hans Drews Unit Arango (1962), The neighborhood Timiza (1966), Kennedy Experiment (1971) and Bachué (1986).
The evaluation is done as part of a larger research that aims to provide recommendations for improving the design quality of social housing in Bogota from diagnosis of the current situation and the best of the Colombian national experience and internationally in this field. It builds on a theoretical model developed in the research itself and performs a comparative evaluation of the samples, which corroborates that are important learning experiences from which both his achievements and the mistakes.
