Resumen

Barcelona Urban transformation displays new forms of urban regeneration that no longer have to do with the discourse of urban project for the period 1980-1992 related to the model of Barcelona (Capel, 2007; Borja, 2009). Barcelona's harbour and waterfront urban transformations are a reflection of the ongoing process of confrontations in a preferential location.

The research and revision process thus reflect an aimed transversal overview -merging criteria's from architecture, civil engineering, environment sciences, heritage preservations with social and economic considerations- leading to a critical analysis of the latest trends, projects and interventions.
