Resumen

SARMIENTO, Ma. Laura. Urban Bioethics: the city as a common good. Bitácora Urbano Territorial [online]. 2015, vol.25, n.2, pp.15-20. ISSN 0124-7913.  https://doi.org/10.15446/bitacora.v2n25.52013.

We urge as urban civilization that inhabits today the Earth, reflect on the causes that have contributed to the deteriorating state of a planet with limited resources linked to the mass production of architecture in very good relationship with the global market and the capitalist model. The culture of victims and affected / as by the hegemonic global system carries in its genesis structures and metabolisms that keep alive the creative powers. Generate resistance that remain autonomous and continuous transformation taking care of synch with life and desires. This way of inhabiting the city builds the witness that it is possible autonomy and self-determination of how they want to live. However, this is a grotesque pattern of disobedience to the capital. It is necessary to assume our individual and collective responsibilities for architecture and urbanism in fraternal link with sustainability. A possible horizon is the development of an Urban Bioethics located, to recognize the link not only with the needs and urgencies of the Earth but also with the ways of inhabiting different from the conventional ones.

Palabras clave : urban bioethics; commons; creative resistance.
