Abstract This article is the result of a research named "Knowing and Doing of Early Childhood Teachers in Relation with the Intervention Processes, ‘the case of Fundación Fan, Stage II". It sets some reflections about the integral education of kids and places in doubt the emphasis on the cognitive matter. It also takes into consideration three aspects; the child profile in preschool, the way they learn and the educational and pedagogical intervention processes, in correspondence with the training which early childhood teacher must welcome during higher education. We conclude that the Licensed graduate with deficiencies related to the theoretical and practical domain, aspects that should encourage FAN for these accompaniment to develop a comprehensive early childhood.
