DIAZ JARAMILLO, JOSÉ ABELARDO. From Liberalism to Maoism: Agreements and Disagreements in the Political Life of Francisco Mosquera Sánchez, 1958-1969. Anu. colomb. hist. soc. cult. [online]. 2011, vol.38, n.1, pp.141-176. ISSN 0120-2456.
The article addresses a specific period in the political life of Francisco Mosquera Sánchez, the famous leader of the Colombian Left and founder of the Independent and Revolutionary Workers' Movement (MOIR). Specifically, it deals with the moment of Mosquera's transition from liberal to left-wing ideas, in a process charged with political tensions. This exercise makes it possible to clarify the individual and collective circumstances that contribute to the appearance of revolutionaries in Colombian society, in the sense indicated by Eric Hobsbawm.
