PELAEZ, Víctor Antonio y MOUNIROU-DIALLO, Mamadou. The crisis of normalized urban thinking, calling to its rupture through creativity. Bol. cienc. tierra [online]. 2021, n.50, pp.29-32. Epub 09-Feb-2022. ISSN 0120-3630. https://doi.org/10.15446/rbct.n50.94299.
This article deals with the conference: "Thinking about the city of tomorrow is a great paradoxical challenge" by extrapolating it to the Latin American and African context. For which, first the richness of the exchange of ideas between the authors is exposed, also highlighting the call of Professor Bourdin to research new tools of urban thought. Then, we appeal to the rupture of the hegemony of ideas, showing the incidence of normalized thinking in the aforementioned continents, also revealing the three restrictions that prevent us from thinking about the city of the future.
Subsequently, some proposals are developed to go beyond standardization which refers to the use of the imagination. Finally, some conclusions are presented which call for an imminent change in the course of academic thought, calling on researchers to assume the public risk of issuing criteria.
