This review article presents an overview of studies on historical memory In the field of education. Based on their description and analysis, the authors make some reflections about the place it has in school and in the educational processes of new generations. Furthermore, they identify four emphasis in these studies and proposals: memory in the framework of the teaching of social sciences and recent mory and its links with school and society; and artistic languages as pedagogica mediation for working with memory in school.
