Resumen

MERA-BASTIDAS, María Cecilia et al. Importance of the collaborative approaches in the business development of some successful Spanish-American companies. Rev. esc.adm.neg [online]. 2019, n.86, pp.169-184. ISSN 0120-8160.  https://doi.org/10.21158/01208160.n86.2019.2300.

The main objective of this article is to review the cooperative approach taken by some successful Spanish-American companies, an aspect that has allowed them to increase their competitiveness, position themselves in the markets, and that could become a potential model for many MSMEs, favoring the improvement of the quality of life of the people who depend on these activities. To this end, a theoretical framework focused on the solidarity economy and its characteristics is presented, followed by the description of successful experiences in Latin American agribusiness conglomerates, and good practices from the logistic point of view, which could empower associations, given the main productive vocations of their regions.

The documentary consolidation of the business success experiences under the agroindustrial cluster and solidarity economy model in Latin America, made it possible to demonstrate that there are regionally diverse economic-entrepreneurial initiatives of associativity and cooperativism that have managed to position themselves and be recognized with much greater success, than companies with non-cooperative approaches, being the productive sector, specifically agroindustry, where there is a greater concentration of companies under the solidarity regime, followed by the services sector. Solidarity companies, whether called associations or cooperatives, owe their success mainly to government generation of public policies that promote their creation and sustainability.
