Resumen

MONTOYA, Iván A.  y  MONTOYA, Luz Alexandra. A price formation proposal related to ecological economics through a general equilibrium system. Agron. colomb. [online]. 2008, vol.26, n.3, pp.525-534. ISSN 0120-9965.

The main conceptual approaches in Environmental Economics often come from epistemological considerations related with a trade-off analysis between marginal utilization of resources and its abatement costs. However, this protocol offers some difficulties in order to include recurrence processes, clean production circularity or the use of wastes in a complex productive system. The use of a classic model for price formation (general equilibrium) originated by the works of Piero Sraffa´s can be an interesting conceptual alternative to conceive price formation allowing for environmental concerns in an economic analysis since it facilitates the collection of information on the process implementation and recurrence activities. The objective of this report is to propose a price system in a classic general equilibrium, and to suggest the valuation of environmental goods and services through the use of income differential. The methodology used includes a bibliographic review, the formulation of a research question, the identification of alternative theoretical models and the elaboration of a theoretical proposal.

Palabras clave : prices; environmental studies; classical economics.
