UERRERO SIERRA, Hugo Fernando y SANCHEZ SIERRA, Juan Carlos. A "pedagogy of the senses": Self-esteem education in transitional justice settings. Investig. desarro. [online]. 2015, vol.23, n.1, pp.58-90. ISSN 0121-3261. https://doi.org/10.14482/indes.22.2.6615.
Most transitional justice mechanisms that are bound towards the rehabilitation of social bonds in post-conflict settings rely on a deep understanding of historical conditions that determine the conflict itself. Hence, the design of transitional justice strategies should pay attention to such precedents and its constant changing dynamic. This article presents how a historical setting of exclusion, violence and impunity in scenarios shapes conflict, and deteriorates transitional justice strategies implemented aiming social reconciliation. From a social sciences perspective, here is proposed an educational strategy named "pedagogy of the senses", which is instrumental for transitional justice wherever its mechanisms are bound towards a personal, family and social psychological reconstruction of the foundations of self-esteem.
