The following article presents the construction of knowledge and agroecological understandings as an innovation for business models in the communities of Silvia (Cauca, Colombia). Thisexercise was generated from the use of the tool of a business model puzzle. As a result of this dialogical process, business models such as Agrotourism; Dairy Transformation; Educating seeds for life; Namuy Urekmeran Kusrenep Srenaway Asi Isua; and Own Gastronomy, Nachak, were obtained. In addition, it is recognized by the participants that the technological tool is useful for planning a community economy; however, the term business model is not used in the territory, but rather as a marketing process or community economy, aimed at strengthening food sovereignty in the territory. In this way, it allowed to agree on the community economy processes that would make the by-products useful and incorporate them into new processes, in order to improve living conditions, keeping in mind the common vision and interest of building a society in harmony with the nature.
