The article deals with aspects of territorial organizational in the peace accord signed on November 24, 2016 between the Colombian state and the “Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, Peoples Army” (FARC-EP using its Spanish acronym). It is predicated on the thesis that adequate territorial organization requires and sustains a nation at peace and that the structural modifications introduced by the “Teatro Colón Agreement” are fundamental factors in attaining real peace and a society in peaceful coexistence. The article analyzes the changes relevant to Rural Township Based Temporary Normalization Zones, Temporary Normalization Points and the Special Temporary Peace Demarcation Lines and characterizes as structural those linked to “Campesino” (rural crofter) Reserve Zones, environmental cartography and Territorially Focused Development Plans conceiving of them as fundamental for real peace and a society in peaceful coexistence. The article posits the enormous and urgent tasks assumed by the state for fulfillment of the Accord, concurrently highlighting the role assigned to citizen participation in the process.
