HOYOS, Oscar; DUQUE, Pedro; GARCIA, Daniel y GIRALDO, Sebastián. Scientific production on green economy and sustainability: a review of world research. Rev.fac.cienc.econ. [online]. 2022, vol.30, n.2, pp.77-99. Epub 30-Dic-2022. ISSN 0121-6805. https://doi.org/10.18359/rfce.5846.
Currently, the environmental and social crisis facing humanity has pushed the conservation of life as we know it to the limit; this has generated an increase in society's awareness, which has given rise to new global policies, and the protagonist emergence of topics such as green economy and sustainability. Given the relevance of these issues, this article aims to conduct a literature review and bibliometric analysis of the scientific production on these topics; for this purpose, a scientific mapping and network analysis of 504 publications registered in Scopus from the year 2000 was carried out. In this way, the most relevant documents were identified and classified, as well as the countries, authors, institutions, and journals that are most representative in the area. The three main currents of research on the subject were also established: green economy, circular economy, and bioeconomy; effects and consequences of the green economy; and green economy and climate change. Finally, an agenda for future research were proposed.
