MARTINEZ, María José; PALADINES G., Fanny Y. y YAGUACHE Q., Jenny J.. The Media-Community Relationship Based on a Study of the Kawsaypura Yachanakushun Program in the Canton of Saraguro. Palabra Clave [online]. 2008, vol.11, n.1, pp.41-52. ISSN 0122-8285.
This article provides information on a line of research rarely pursued in our local environment: the relationship between the media and the community, based on a study of a bilingual radio show (Spanish-Kichwa) and its target audience. The results consider elements such as public access and participation, and contribute information on other aspects of local communication, such as the relationship between education and cultural reinforcement, the weight of authorities versus common citizens on the airwaves, the correlation between the contents broadcast and what the public needs or wants, and how Kichwa-Saraguro teachers visualize interculturality.
