Resumen

LOPEZ MEDINA, Segundo E. et al. Tuberization in vitro of Solanum tuberosum L. var. "Cochacina" with purple pulp. Cienc. Tecnol. Agropecuaria [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.1, e2882.  Epub 30-Abr-2023. ISSN 0122-8706.  https://doi.org/10.21930/rcta.vol24_num1_art:2882.

The potato (Solanum tuberosum) is one of the most important crops in the world, after "rice" and "wheat" based on its production and productivity. It is worth mentioning that Peru is the center of origin and diversity of this crop, Therefore, there are native varieties with a high nutritional and medicinal value, especially those varieties of potatoes that show purple colored pulp, due to its high content of anthocyanins. However, its cultivation requires technologies that allow improving its conservation and health of the botanical seed. Given this, the goal of this research was to determine the in vitro tuberization of Solanum tuberosum var. "Cochacina'' with purple pulp. In this sense, the experimental stage was carried out in the laboratory, where seedling cuttings were planted in vitro in Murashige & Skoog medium (Murashige & Skoog, 1962), supplemented with mepiquat chloride, sucrose and 6- benzylaminopurine at different concentrations, distributed in 4 treatments and under dark conditions. At 90 days, the generation of in vitro tubers. Given the results obtained, it is concluded that both treatment T3, consisting of the Murashige and Skoog (Murashige & Skoog, 1962) culture medium, sucrose (8 x104 mg/L) and mepiquat chloride (1000 mg/L) and treatment T4 , consisting of the Murashige and Skoog culture medium (Murashige & Skoog, 1962), sucrose (8 x104 mg/L), 6-BAP (2.5 mg/L) and mepiquat chloride (1000 mg/L), under dark conditions favor the induction and formation of tubers in vitro of S. tuberosum var. "Cochacina'', with purple pulp. However, from the economic point of view the T3 treatment is more promising.
