Resumen

PABON-VILLALOBOS, Johana  y  CASTANO-ZAPATA, Jairo. EVALUATION OF CHEMICAL PRODUCTS AND A BIOLOGICAL ONE TO MANAGE Phytophthora spp. IN 'SALUSTIANA' ORANGE GRAFTED ON SUNKI ROOTSTOCK. rev.udcaactual.divulg.cient. [online]. 2015, vol.18, n.2, pp.339-349. ISSN 0123-4226.

Phytophthora spp., whose habitat is the soil, is present in most citrus orchards in the world, causing losses that can range from 10 to 30%. In order to reduce the damage caused by this disease in citrus plantations, it was evaluated several chemical products and a biological one. The study was conducted at the "El Cuervo" located at the Juntas village, municipality of Neira Caldas, in a plantation of orange of 7 years old, established with the variety Salustiana, grafted on Sunki, affected by Phytophthora spp. The experimental units were selected based on two disease stages: slightly and severely affected trees. Nine treatments applied to the soil were used and one injected the stem, a plant for each stage of attack and five replicates in a completely randomized design in factorial arrangement, where the factors were the treatments and disease stages. It was evaluated number of roots, root dry weight, number of fruits and fruit weight. The best treatment was fosetyl + propamocarb stem injected, with a number of roots 7.20, root dry weight of 28.54g, number of fruits of 1467.20 units/ha and fruits weighing 421.40kg/ha, results that make fosetyl + propamocarb injected the stem a viable alternative to achieve the gradual recovery of the root system of the orange trees slightly affected by Phytophthora spp.

Palabras clave : Citrus; root rot; Oomycetes; fungicides; Trichoderma.
