Resumen
SANTOS HERCEG, José. Academic Knowledge: From Textual Production to Knowledge Creation. Lit. teor. hist. crit. [online]. 2015, vol.17, n.2, pp.97-112. ISSN 0123-5931. https://doi.org/10.15446/lthc.v17n2.51276.
The present text looks to expose a recent shift in regards to academic work: a productive conception of knowledge has taken hold. The consequences of this shift in terms of the types of texts being written and published are unmistakable. As academics, we have been undergoing a transformation into producers, forced to do so by institutions. That is, we produce certain works meant to be published in particular media. The texts, for their part, are conceived of as products, as unexpected as that may seem. This article strives to lay out the ramifications of this change for academic writing and intellectual work in general.
Palabras clave : Academic writing; production; productivity; work; knowledge.
