Objective:

the study sought to demonstrate the urgent need to integrate the gender approach in legal clinics.

Method:

This is a reflective article, based on the systematization of the academic experiences, acquired in the Legal Office of the Universidad Del Atlántico Headquarters, within the framework of the practices of the Master in Gender Studies and Intrafamily Violence of the University from the Atlantic as a grade option.

Results:

The importance of including gender chairs in the Law program was observed, due to the theoretical gaps that students presented in this area, in addition, they showed great openness to learning, taking into account that some aspire to be public officials and They must handle the language of Gender to provide comprehensive care to their users.

Conclusions:

From the trainings, it was possible to show a lack of knowledge about the issues related to the gender approach on the part of the student community, which was evidenced in the reproduction of erroneous social imaginary, and the replication of stereotypes and roles of Gender.
