Resumen
MORA-ORTIZ, Juan Ricardo. School Environmental Projects. Environmental Management Tools. Bitácora Urbano Territorial [online]. 2015, vol.25, n.2, pp.67-74. ISSN 0124-7913. https://doi.org/10.15446/bitacora.v2n25.39975.
The author proposes an analysis in 2014 on Local Environmental Management processes developed in Bogota UPZ 85 through the School Environmental Projects (RESP), seeking to determine how this educational tool helps to create mechanisms in this context. To this end, RESP consulted the District Educational Institutions UPZ 85 different documents that allowed progress to know about it. This information is supplemented by interviews with people in charge of running these projects on some components of the Environmental Management analyzing your answers using a non-parametric Wilcoxon test statistic. The results showed progress within the dynamics of this territory and certain shortcomings in terms of participation, inclusion and improvement of environmental conditions. This case study allows us to recognize the importance of community processes, the need to generate empowerment of the citizens about their built and natural environment, as well as civic education as an alternative to development within the framework of urban and population growth.
