The main objective of this paper is to show the research development that was used to examine the final graduate projects for the undergraduate program of Industrial Design at the National University of Colombia, between 1990-1998, in order to inquire about of what have been the fields of knowledge about the design, theoretical assumptions and methodologies from which research has been developed in this initial scale of vocational training.
