PANTOJA-AGUILAR, Martín P.. Differences and similarities between perception and self-perception of university administrators and their leader. Pensam. gest. [online]. 2017, n.43, pp.261-290. ISSN 1657-6276. https://doi.org/10.14482/pege.43.10595.
This study was conducted in a Public State University (PSU) in Mexico and a comparative analysis was developed of the perceptions that college administrators have of the leadership style of their director and the director's self-perception. A tool called "Managerial Profile 5-D" developed by Nosnik (2013) was used. The tool was developed drawing on the theories of Karl Pooper (Demarcation of science) and Imre Lakatos (Methodology of scientific research programs) creating a classification of managerial profiles based on a Heuristic Systems Methodology (HSM) elaborated by Nosnik himself. The aim of this study was to account with a comparative analysis of perceptions that could serve leaders to reflect on the search for continuous improvement. Results detected areas of opportunity for improvement of leadership style of the directors, and provided a case study applicable in other universities.
