AGUILAR-FORERO, Nicolás y MUNOZ, Germán. Youth condition in Colombia: between structural violence and collective action. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2015, vol.13, n.2, pp.1021-1035. ISSN 1692-715X. https://doi.org/10.11600/1692715x.13233090913.
This article reflects on the youth condition in the contemporary world, focusing its attention on Colombia and in some of the effects that structural violence has on the lives of young people. The authors argue that while the youth condition is affected by all type of adversities associated with economic and life precariousness, as well as uncertainty regarding the future, disenchantment and violence, in the current context there are forms of emerging collective youth action that contribute to the constitution of new horizons for the country based on a culture of peace. This argument is supported through the case study of an organizational experience that since 2006 has worked to construct memory, fight against impunity and develop a political and negotiated solution for the social and armed conflict that affects this country.
