Resumen
LOPEZ-CALVO, Ignacio. The political unconscious of asian-latin american writing and asian communities in the latin american political unconscious. Rev. Guillermo Ockham [online]. 2022, vol.20, n.2, pp.235-245. Epub 26-Ago-2022. ISSN 1794-192X. https://doi.org/10.21500/22563202.5820.
Turning around Fredric Jameson’s theory on the importance of class struggle to access the political unconscious in literary studies and on the use of narrative as a method to collectively repress historical contradictions, in this essay I propose to divert or add another type of repressed historical contradiction: the ethnic struggles and conflicts used by the majority of Latin American societies to oppress and marginalize, through internal colonialism and even deportation, the communities of Asian origin. In this context, this essay explores what is hidden or repressed, consciously or unconsciously, in the diasporic literary discourse of Asian-Latin American communities.
