The article inquires about the reflection on law develop by Cayetano Betancourt (Copacabana, Antioquia, 1910 Bogotá, 1982). Cayetano was a representative of the generation of thinkers who carry out the "normalization" of philosophical studies in Colombia. In the first part, examines the author's connection with the natural law philosophy of Aquinas roots in particular. Then is outlined his challenges to Kelsen's legal positivism. Finally, it analyzes the adoption of subjective line dissident objectivist orthodoxy of classical natural law.
